Sunday, July 18:
The gang gathers for dim sum at the House of Hong in the International District. The great thing about dim sum is, you start getting food the moment you sit down!
Signs in the International District that sound funny to us Westerners: Yick Fung!
At first glance I misread this as "The Winglike Asian Museum". It's not winglike at all!
We went into Daiso, a Japanese-import dollar store.
Well, actually it's a dollar-fifty store.
More signs that sound funny: Gee, how oak, tin family association!
A pair of baby birds we spotted.
We went to the Boeing Museum of Flight.
There was a baby bird nesting in the cone on the left. Its mother was flying around, waiting for us to get the hell away.
A bridge across the street to a lot in which airplanes are parked and you can walk through and see them from inside.
First we went through the Concorde. It's so cramped inside I forgot to take interior pictures!
Ladies and gentlemen... the Beatles! And of course by Beatles I mean Seattlemaniagoers.
Next, we went through a retired Air Force One jet.
This doesn't seem like a very good place to stow luggage.
A display of planes inside the main museum building. VROOOOM!
Okay, here's what they actually look like.
...there's a rubber band on it!
They threw me out of the museum after I crashed one of the fighters into the gift shop.
